Hey jeff, yeah we have started with a very small thing, but it is more than what we were doing. We are trying to instill in our kids that we can be agents of change. They are the future after all!

Thanks for the article. We have been wrestling with many things as a family lately.

I know that my eyes were opened when I expereienced Ghana, Africa first hand.

We definitely need to make changes.

Cindy, Yes, yes, yes, and yes! It is overwelming, but I must do something...

Our friends bought wrist bands from IC and when you buy one, you can choose from four colors, each for a different child and you get a wrist band and a bio and DVD about the child. Click on the link, and go to Movement, and then click on #4, and then click on Invisible children.
They were painful, and life changing to watch!

Thanks Glenn, we will try to find the DVD. Our family is completely undone. My hope is to visit Africa one day. I think our youth is the answer, at least in part, to the problem. They need to rise up to bring change!

Lori, you said it right - for you and all of us - "what am I willing to do?"

Phyllis and I spent many years in Nairobi and I travelled doing leadership seminars all over Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Congo and Ethiopia. Much of my heart is still in that part of the world! And it is an enigma - the poverty, the tribalism, the wealth, the church, the missionaries, the corruption...

You and your family should rent the DVD "God Grew Tired of Us." It might give you some small hope for the situation there in East and Central Africa.
